Wrestlers Drop First Conference Meet; Seniors O’Brien and Smith Winners Over Warriors

BROOKLINE – The Framingham co-ed wrestling team lost its first Bay State Conference meet of the season to Brookline this week.

The Warriors won 35-26, with the meet coming down to the last match.

The Flyers are now 14-4 overall and 8-1 in the Bay State Conference.

Senior captain Dylan O’Brien and senior Trevor Smith won their matches against Brookline.

Other winners against Brookline were junior Rony Hernandez, junior Danillo da Silva, junior Josue Bullux and freshman Dante Marino

The Flyers had four freshmen in their lineup on Tuesday night, with 5 of their 13 starters out.

Next up for Framingham is the Division 1 State duals on Saturday February 3.

And on Tuesday, Feb. 6, the Flyers travel to Natick for a battle with the Red Hawks. The winner will take home the Bay State Championship banner.
