Organizations partner to provide new health services to children, seniors in southside

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7) Pittsylvania County children and seniors will have new services available thanks to a new partnership.

Piedmont Access to Health Services, also known as PATHS and Pittsylvania County Community Action are teaming up.

The partnership will provide educational programs to seniors on topics that could improve their well-being.

For the kids the partnership provides required medical screening they must have to enter kindergarten at either no cost or low cost.

“There’s no reason for anyone in this country to not be able to access health care and under the current system, it’s diffcult in many situations to do that,” says executive director of Pittsylvania County Community Action, Everlina Ross.

Those interested in applying for services can call Pittsylvania County Community Action at (434) 432-8250 or stop by the office.
