Leaf-raking assistance for seniors

Naperville seniors needing help raking leaves can call upon local Boy Scout troops to perform the work for free.

The city of Naperville’s Senior Task Force has partnered with local troops to offer the service for seniors who may have mobility issues or other impairments that make raking leaves difficult.

Interested seniors can make an appointment with the Senior Help Desk at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center by calling 630-848-3613 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. starting Monday, Oct. 2.

Wheaton, will hold mobile office hours on select Tuesdays and Saturdays from October to December at the Wheaton Public Library, 225 N. Cross St.
